Hey fellas! I’m 7 days into my traffic junky experience and figured I’d get a follow along going to get some helpful advice. Right now I’m running cutehookup.
Ran the new batch of ads last night. Starting to get a feel for what’s working and what’s not. However, I bid .83 and only spent $44, so going to crank up the bid to .9 tonight because I’m not getting enough data. A few ads at .8% but my lp ctr% is still rough and same with cr% so going to ad a few things to the lander today as well to try and get that up for tonight because it needs to be double what it is currently.
Great job Slade. My lander is my sticking point as well. Im in the 7-19% range and need to triple that. Keep it going and keep us updated.
I guess you guys target english language countries?
Decent start, whats your lander CTR?
7-19% you’re gonna have work on that cashdoc, 40%+ is what most find profitable zone.
TJ is hugely competitive for USA but can work, I recommend starting in a lower competition country for initial profits, but depending on your financial position and cashflow USA is worth hanging out in till profits if you have the cash to test
Keep rotating landers till something sticks well that offer is good too
Another crappy day. I tried a new batch of ads along with the ones that have been doing well and all of the new ones sucked. The good ones continued to do well at .6-.8% (is that well or is that average?). My overall ctr was .48 for my banners. I tried out 3 variations of lp’s and all did the same pretty much at 40% ctr. I added a geo script and how many singles were currently online a few days ago but that hasn’t seemed to help the ctr. Any insights on what I should do to get a better ctr? I have attached the lp style I’m working with which is lp2. Do you think my ctr for the lp is basically boiling down to the image? I was working with lp1 (which is attached) over the weekend but I totally messed up the coding trying to get the countdown timer in there and adjust the colors and now I can’t get it back to normal, but I’m thinking it might work better than the other ones if I add a green dot, a name, and saying they are currently online….might help my CR as well.
I had a new banner get a .87 ctr but it was misleading and led to no conversions but I’m going to try and tweak it a bit and see if that helps. The CR is above 2% for my good ads, but maybe the lp throws them off because they go from sexy little naughty chick to overweight chubby biznitch. I think tonight I’ll do two separate campaigns with the chubby ads leading to the chubby lp’s and the hotter ads leading to hot chick lps. Maybe that will help. Not sure…this has definitely turned into a rant, but I can’t lose $100/day for the foreseeable future as my budget is around $2500.
Maybe I should switch countries as Maynzie suggested. My cpm was .87
@patje72 – yes I’m currently only in the US
I think you need to get organized a little bit here. Don’t just throw up random ads and random girls. Figure out your angle/angles. Figure out your target audience, then market to them.
If cash flow is a concern it would definitely be a great idea to test in a cheaper country like maynzie recommended until you find something that is working and then move over to USA and hit it hard.
Way cheaper for sure. Go to onehourtranslation.com if needed and get your ads translated then go test in Mexico or somewhere cheap.
Keep us posted man
A lot depends on the placement. Pornhub Vid A is the most expensive in my experience. I honestly don’t know how guys make a profit on that placement. They must have a real high payouts from their affiliate networks. I had theis profitable when bids were lower, like $0.70. If you cannot make it profitable on this placement, try different ones.
Golden: you need to first find a nice offer for Mexican traffic. Do you know any?
Try LP with no Pictures at all, just text. They stare at the picture an click continue, they must read the text!
Took your guys advice and got out of the US…had a good day yesterday using a new angle. Now going to look at expanding it to new ad placements and sites within TJ and then to other sources
@rafael3000 – that’s interesting theory on the LP…makes sense, I’ll give it a test thanks
Great job so far! Not meaning to hijack your thread, just want to contribute a bit of my findings as so far this forum has been incredibly inspirational. Maybe some of this may help you as well.
I’m working on TJ right now as well. Started a few weeks ago on cheap demographics to get my feet wet and see how well users responded.
So far I’ve noticed that it’s much easier to get high CTR’s for banners on those (1.5-2%+). Couldn’t get anything above 1% to stick for a while on better demos yet.
I started in higher quality countries about a week and had some great ROI days but volume was small. Just running under a few issues when trying to scale on to the most expensive positions. Definitely, there’s a lot to be done to make it work but also a lot of money to be made.
My landing page CTR for HQ countries is about 55-65% (depending on the creative, which I guess is decent and leads me to believe that it may be even higher). My offers don’t convert as good as I’d like right now though, and I’ve rotated a TON of them.
Keep us updated and good luck!
Hey, that’s cool – congrats!
what do regard as "High Quality" countries?
just curious why you guys dont test like 3 totally DIFFERENT landers at 1 time.
seems like you guys are running in circles.
you’d find out so fast which one seems to work. then start optimizing THAT one.
US/CA/UK/AU so far with my tests. Haven’t tried european countries yet.
+1 for this suggestion
i’m really curious to hear… not saying it in a bad way… trying to figure out the logic here.
Personally I do test landing pages and optimize them. I’d usually test around 3-5 different ones as you suggested, pick the winners and then rotate up to ten variations of each until I’m satisfied with the results.
On certain AD spots in certain countries I can get ROIs of up to 300% with no problem, but the amount of traffic is not that big to make it interesting. The most competitive ad spots are
the ones causing me problems right now. CPM prices are expensive and conversions are not as good with the same angles as on other parts. But working on it
