I’m sure this is somewhere on the forums, and I’ve looked but have found some differing information, although I probably could’ve searched harder.
But what is the CTR you aim for when using a landing page on PoF, what is attainable?
40%? 50%? 60%?
50% is a good start.
How about for PPV? 20%?
I think it depends on the angle. Some angles don’t provide a decent CTR but they provide a high conversion rate.
I think CTR should be at least 5%, however, you should focus more on conversion rate instead of CTR.
I agree with zkyclear, it totally depends on the vertical, traffic source, etc. With the right angle and target 50% is pretty easy to get. I’ve seen legit affiliates pull 70% on PPV. Didn’t last long, but hey what on IM does?
But what about what Plenty of Fish specifically, 50% is good, but what is ideal, are you satisfied with 50%?
Depends on your eCPM really. EPCs don’t really tell you what they need to on POF since you’re bidding CPM. Calculate your eCPM to determine your real potential. Only you can determine what’s a "good" CTR.
I’ve had landers get 60% CTR and barely break even, and others with 40% CTR and make me 100% ROI for months. If you are at 50% CTR and making a good, steady, ROI then only split test minor adjustments to try and bump it. Otherwise, create a few of those lander variations and rotate them to stall banner burnout and move onto the next campaign.
Don’t try and hit home runs on POF with one campaign. Be happy with a whole bunch of singles and doubles. Your campaigns will last longer that way.
Sorry about hijacking your thread mscimitar. Didn’t notice it was under PoF.
Haha don’t worry about it! If I knew anything about landing pages for PPV I’d help you out
40% is probably the minimum. Even if it works below that, you should be able to improve upon it.
