I’ve been testing this campaign since Tuesday, May 24. So far i got 17 leads. I had some crazy CTR on some creatives and deleted low CTR and no converting demo last night. My goal is to make this campaign profitable.
My Demo is:
Country = Canada
Age = Between 23 – 30
Gender = Female
CPM = 0.28
Frequency Cap = 3
This morning i added Single to the demo since it reported 10 conversion before i went to hell (my job).
Spent = $86.60
Conversion = $59.50
Profit = -$27.16
These are the creatives i got running right now on pof. The last 2 digits on the creative name is the sub id.
Now here is the sub id brake out from my network
Some ads have low CTR but i keep them since they were converting. Below is the conversion report i got from POF
Any suggestion on how i could adjust the campaign to get it profitable. I lost alot of $$$ in the past and dont want to keep repeating the same mistakes..
can you repost your image, it got deleted, use different site to hsare your image
Just my two cents, but this campaign is already profitable if you just shut down some of your creatives.
Let me explain. You have 9 creatives that’s used up about $87 which means that the cost per creative is less than $10.
Creative with subid 40 has generated $14 in commission => about $4 profit. Keep finding these golden nuggets 57 and 31 are close too, might want to let them run a bit longer.
Niklas, I was thinking of the same thing, I’m about to cut off the creatives with low EPC and rock out from there
i noticed you are bidding .28cpm which is quite low,which can lead lower converting traffic,try bidding .52cpm and set login count to under <100,you will fin the trafficd converts better.
Ok, just cut off alot of creatives and im about to rock out with:
Should i adjust the demo with anything else and the CPM?
Also the creatives got about 20k impressions. When do you guys think that these ads start to wear out?
Even for a offer that’s in Canada? From my understanding, UK and CA CPM should be low? What i will do is raise the bids by 1 to 2 penny like Ben from POF recommended.
Thanks for your input!!
Just raised the CPM to $0.36. Added login count under 100. 5 creatives are flowing right now.
Braking even at the moment.
Is this enough to get this campaign profitable?
Please help i think im finally working with something
Bid higher and make more ads. For that low a login count you will need a much higher bid to see decent traffic.
I’d suggest you split your age group in half and up your login count (for now at least) or discard it completely for the sake of targeting people who click ads > 10
Now im confused. Im bidding 0.48 slowly raising my bids. Got 2 creatives running which were my best performers. Login count is
revenue yesterday was around $-19.00
Going to give it untill the end of this weekend to see how it goes
Had to shit this camp down. Too much losses
are you using banners or the regular 110 x 90 ads?
POF has never been stable for me, one day it’s 100% ROI and the very next day could be -190%..
Yes and no. If you target too tightly you will burn out quickly but I’ve had dating campaigns run for months.
– Don’t be afraid to bid high. You can drop it down later one. Higher bids get preferred placements.
– Keep your banners fresh
– Don’s target too tightly.

Here is what i spent and earned for the month of May:
I’m speaking with other affiliates who are making anywhere from $600 to $1k daily. Real motivating and i really want to hit those numbers. Im taking a new approach.
1. Im working on my Ad copies to improve my CTR
2. Testing new offer (last offer was top on my network but could not get it profitable)
3. Spit testing new demo and targeting different age groups
Im open to any suggestion…
Damn $600-$1k a day is a lot on POF… Wonder what offers they run there..
They are running the same offers we are all running.
Doing those numbers will be a full time job in building out new creatives and managing campaigns.
On POF you have to think ito a LOT of smaller campaigns and utilize all aspects of the targeting.
ROI is not fantastic and over time it does fizzle a bit but you should be alble to do 50% ROI quite comfortably.
20x$50/day = $1000
So why did this fail? You were getting pretty close, you might have even been close to getting profitable. A lot of affiliates make this mistake, run it for a few days, lose some cash, optimize but then get scared and shut it down. You could have been 1 day from profitability. So I ask again – why did it fail and are you sure it really failed?
You are absolutely right. My last campaign i thought it was a failure. I let it run fro 1 more day and next thing you know i made %100 ROI.
Lasted about 2 days till the CTR started declining and i wasnt receiving no more clicks.
I learned my lesson there.
Gray – now add new images to your campaign to get the ctr back
The only problem with this camp is that its international and the audience is not that big.
I played with the CPM to bring more traffic w/ no luck.
Im only able to spend $10 a day.
I wish i could throw a stack and make it back with this camp
Gray send me a pm with the campaign details and I’ll help you get more volume and profit from it.
Whenever I start a campaign I tend to target =< 50 login and for Canadian traffic I would be starting with bids at about .52.
This is obviously more competative as lots of people bidding here but users haven’t seen as many ads + if your bidding quite high they also see you first I just find I can get a good feel if the campaign will be profitable then scale it out from there just my 0.2
