Great to finally join the forum, just thought I would introduce myself and meet a few of my marketing brothers!
I am an engineering student joining from MT, USA; cant wait to prove most of my education useless haha
I am planning to dive into the mobile traffic side of things (possibly narrowing down to adult-mobile after i get a feel for the ropes). Have already been approved for a Decisive account and am waiting to hear back from F5M and all the other Aff networks i applied to. Wanna get this rolling as soon as possible!
Ive got about a 3k budget to work with, although its all rent money, so there really is no room for failure here. I will be starting a follow along thread soon as i get my first campaigns started, partly to keep me accountable, but mostly to feed off the groups’ seemingly endless knowledge base
Cant wait to finally start losing some moniezzz!! Let’s GO!!
You are not guaranteed to make money – especially as a complete beginner with such a low budget
Using your rent money as a budget is very very unwise. If there is no room for failure you should WAIT until you have room for failure.
What’s this "can’t wait to start losing money" stuff about when you have no money to lose? … What risks do you see with this approach?
Just be careful.
Haha I meant that as in i cant wait to get my accounts approved and start testing. I realize that this is definitely a high risk environment, but i honestly believe i can make it happen.
I know 3k is probably not the highest budget, but its the bulk of what i can safely work with at this point. I could probably put in about 5k if i needed to, although that would be bordering on the very unwise.
I have thought about this, and honestly, losing the money was my first and largest concern. Although, i know that if i stick with it i can definitely make things work. Thats not even taking into account the amount of knowledge i would buy in the process.
Worst case scenario: I lose 3k, and somehow give up on IM altogether. I go back to working fulltime while in school to make ends meet, or max out my student loans for next semester. Pay everything off once i finish my petroleum engineering degree..
Honestly, in the long run, 3k shouldnt be that big of a deal, even if lost. Thats less than i pay for one class + i would be making ~100k/year with my PE degree straight outta school. Although the idea of working for the next 40yrs of my life, helping someone else build their dream, no longer really appeals to me…
I know i can very easily, and very quickly, lose all that money. Its something i thought about, and though i hope to avoid, i believe i can handle the worst case scenario loss..
Using rent $ is risky. I’d save up more or start with really small payout offers. This will keep you from spending too much $ on testing. A good niche to enter is WEB gaming offers. Facebook is a good place to start.
