Just getting everything setup to begin on POF.I will probably start with dating and maybe some other POF friendly verticals, which newbie friendly networks would you recommend starting with? i was looking to start by joining
I am yet to run a campaign and it seems a lot of networks have (understandably) a approval process and decline a lot of people (going by the adsimilis thread). the only network i have applied for so far is f5 media, but even in their thread on here they want to schedule a call (which is fine) but also ask:
What offers are you currently running?
Do you have any LPs you can show me with live links at the end?
Any Geo’s you prefer to work with or specific verticals?
And Im yet to run any traffic, so i cant really answer these. im sure there are some networks that i can join but until i find them its a bit of a catch22. i cant run traffic until i have a network letting me promote something. i cant join networks as i have no experience.
Also how do i find out a list of networks an offer is on? if i want to split test the same offer on different networks to see which is converting best, there must be a simpler way of doing this that signing up for loads of networks and checking manually.
Hey sparkie, I’m in the same boat as you. I am brand new and have not run a campaign yet. I’m wondering if its possible to get into these recommended networks as a newb.
yup, just show them you are real… Get on the phone or skype with account reps… Hint, you can search skype for network names and hit up the AM on skype…

Hit these guys up via PM or Skype after applying to touch base and try and expedite things. Tell them you are a member of STM, especially in the Skype notice. Adding random people on Skype without an introduction is unprofessional.
Establish a site for your business so if anyone bothers to load your domain it doesn’t reek of "I don’t give a shit".
Some networks I would apply to if starting out all over:
F5 Media < guaranteed entry as an STM member!
There are literally dozens of others that are reputable so I just named some from the top of my head.
Thanks for the post! What do you mean by establish a site for the business? What do you have in mind if I’m going to be using paid traffic and will only be having separate landing pages for a given offer?
I mean you yourself should treat affiliate marketing as a business, and businesses have websites.
Thus, you should have a website for your business that is independent of any of the actual campaigns you run.
Here’s a template for that sort of site, courtesy of Mr Zeno: https://stackthatmoney.com/forum/show…highlight=site
Thanks for the help guys. Gotepc, i will let you know how i get on.
I will set up a business website.I was planning to do this anyway but wait until i actually start a business, which i wont do till i prove to myself i can get a positive ROI as it will cost me another £500ish to set up. Until then i will just operate our of my personal account.
Another silly newbie question, i was just about to sign up to commission junction, as a affiliate am i a Advertiser or Publisher? i assume i’m a publisher but just want to check.
Do you guys want to team up I am also new. Maybe create a skype group so that we ride out our first campaign get a hang of things?
At affiliate networks you are generally a publisher.
