I was hoping someone could tell me the code for making my Facebook link keywords pass through my landing page so I can see what ads are generating leads.
I put this is my header;
$kw = $_GET[‘keyword’];
and <?=$kw;?> after the = on my affiliate link, but no keywords are tracking.
We need to know about your tracking setup.
Do you direct link to a lander? To a tracking202 URL? What does your lander URL look like in practice?
Also, I think it’s formally <?=$kw?> but am not sure if the semicolon matters. Note that this might not work if you don’t have short tags enabled and have a PHP version before 5.4.x I believe.
Im not using a tracker yet I just have the my Facebook link going to my lander. I have it redirected however. my Facebook link looks like www.domain.com/track.php?id=x&kw=kw
Im not sure about the short tags but that sounds like it could be the issue. How do I enable this?
You need to edit php.ini on your server and then restart apache, nginx, or whatever is used.
Otherwise, just avoid shorthand and write <?php echo $kw; ?>
Change all tags to open with <?php not <?
nm i figured it out. that was the issue
