Welcome to my first follow along, I joined STM a month ago and I learned in just 30 days what I never learned in every other shitty forum or blog around there, you are the real deal!
I already did my presentation post, I am from Paraguay so my English is not perfect! lol. Anyway I’ll try my best.
I read caurmen’s beginners guide, read a lot all over the forum, made a mini ebook with all important info, and I decided to start with POF as I don’t have huge budget, it’s newbie friendly and I have POFpro which is the best tool I’ve ever bought, it worth every dollar! Thanks Tom!
OK, lets get started
AFFexpert POF spy tool
I launched 1 campaign, the angle is Mature Dating
Login count: <100
7 image ads
3 landing pages
1 Mature Offer over 40 y/o
$20 per day
Bid 0.73 – Do you think is too high for UK?
Frecuency cap 4
Ok, I picked the images and LPs from POF spy tool, the reason I did this is because I want to test what is working and then I’ll come up with my own creatives and LPs.
Offers and LPs
CTR is the same in all 3 LPs 23%, and CVR average is 10,3%
As I mentioned above, I have 7 images and there is just 1 winner that is in profit, CTR is 0.101% and the rest is below 0,1. They already reached 10K impressions, so what is your suggesstions for me, cut all the 6 bad performing images and replace them with new ones?
Ok guys, I’ll appreciate if you can give some feedback and suggestions, I will try to update this thread every day!
although I cannot give you any advice due to my lack of knowledge, it will be very interesting to watch your Follow-Along as I am close to the same stage you’re in… 🙂 Subscribed!
Definitely cut all the losing ads. There’s absolutely no point keeping an ad around and costing you money if it isn’t providing the performance you need.
You’ll end up cutting a lot of ads – that’s OK. To give you an idea, I’ve cut about 10 images every day this week from one single campaign I’m optimising, between a couple of different age groups.
How many clicks have your LPs had so far?
Also, I’d really recommend split-testing another offer, or the same offer on a different network. Only testing one offer is really limiting your variables unless you have a very tightly optimised funnel.
I think you mean Login Count < 100 right?
7 creatives is too little to start testing. I would do 20, and try as different of creatives as you can, so they’re not just all similar themes.
You’re just collecting a diverse set of data right now and starting to see what kind of stuff works for your demo. 7 creatives is simply too few for testing.
And I think play with the bid a bit. Try like 0.23 one day and 0.93 one day (or 2-3 days, depending on volume), and see if there is a difference in quality.
LP 1 = 18 Clicks – Click-thru 5 —-> CVR 3
LP 2 = 17 Clicks – Click-thru 4 —-> CVR 1
LP 3 = 18 Clicks – Click-thru 6—-> CVR 2
Three of them have almost the same clicks and CVR, how many clicks has to receive an LP in order to decide if to cut it or not?
I also have accounts in Adsimilis and A4D, will pick some offers to rotate, thanks for the advice!
Yeah, I mean <100 , thanks for your advices Tom!
Yesterday I cut all the bad performing ads and added new ones but I noticed they didn’t receive any impressions. Maybe I did not upload the ads correctly, will check it now.
I will start adding some fresh images (not from spytool) about 15 to 20 images as Tom suggested me. I will decrease bid from 0,73 to 0,50 also, and see tomorrow how it performs.
Cutting landing pages: https://stackthatmoney.com/forum/show…-Landing-Pages gives you all the details!
You generally need a minimum of about 50 clicks per LP before getting started on that, though.
Yesterday I uploaded 15 new images (not from spy tool), and today I cut all the ones that have
5000 impressions and CTR less than 0.1
1200 impressions and 0 clicks.
– Yesterday I lowered my bid from 0.73 to 0.50, I was expecting less impressions, but at the opposite I received more.
– Landings didn’t get 50 clicks yet. They still have almost the same CTR and CVR
What I did now
– Added same offer from other Network to rotation
– Uploaded 6 new images with different ad copy
Let’s see how it goes tomorrow,
Yesterday I didn’t receive conversions, maybe because I lowered my bid, don’t know.
I decided to separate my campaign in 3 age groups (I had to do this from the beginning)
Campaign 1: 41-45
Campaign 2: 46-50
Campaign 3: 51-55
– 2 different landing pages and $10 budget for every age group
– Split testing the same offer from 2 networks (Clickdealer and Adsimilis)
Stats after this setup:
– My 2 conversions came from campaigns 1 and 2
– As yesterday I uploaded 16 new fresh images, they still didn’t get enough impression to start making decisions
What I did now
– Raised bids slightly to see if I can get more impressions
I would appreciate if you can give me some advices or tell me if I’m doing something wrong, I’m scared of this campaign becomes a completely mess lol
Bro, you’ve just started, so don’t be afraid to fail and DO NOT BE SCARED. Think of the time you started riding a bike for the first time, I bet you fell off many times before getting it right. Same applies here.
As far as the advice, I would separate the login count from 0-50 and 50-190 into different campaigns. You are getting conversions, so that is always a good sign that you are headed in the direction. Keep testing more images, get more clicks to the lander, see which offer is converting and then rinse and repeat. Bid between 40 to 60 always works for the 110’s.
Just to let you know that I had to pause my campaign for a few days as I was very busy in my work(yes I’m still an employee) but hopefully tomorrow I will update this thread with the actual performance of my campaign, I’m in Honduras right now but fortunately I brought my personal laptop
Ok guys! Off for a few days, today I launched again my campaigns, those are the past stats
Is it difficult to make a female campaign profitable?
Just 1 campaign generated leads, the 46-50 age range, will pause the other ones, and tomorrow I will launch a male campaign.
You’ll probably need to launch a fair few campaigns of any type before you make them profitable – so great start!
It’s hard to give generalisations: sometimes female traffic is harder to convert, sometimes it isn’t. On average you’ll have more quality issues with male traffic, but also higher CTRs.
How are your landing page and ad CTRs looking?
These are my LP stats
I think is too early to start cutting Lps, I’m also testing direct linking within the same campaign.
I have 4 ads that performed well
Now I added the same images but with blue coloured border.
Increased the bid 10 cents to see if I can get more impressions. All the rest remain the same, Freq. cap 3 per visit, distribution asap, login count, 100, age 46-50
Increasing your bid by 10c doesn’t mean you’ll get more impressions though.
Yep, you’re correct, definitely too early to be cutting LPs.
You could afford to be a bit more ruthless with your ads, though: I’d cut anything that has had over 5k impressions, no conversions, and has a CTR of less than 0.1%.
Hi stackers I hope you had a good time with your families in Christmass!
Ok, so today I received 7.000 impressions and no clicks, I decided to pause my Mature dating femalescampaign as it´s eating all my budget and I also want to try another angles. I launch the same campaign but now targeting males.
Males 41+ (41-45/46-50)
Login count: <100
Freq. Cap: 4
Direct linking at the moment, same offers from Clickdealer and Adsimilis.
There is something that I can’t simply understand, yesterday I had 10 images and only 3 of them were performing well, so I cut the other ones. Logic says that those 3 images will receive all the traffic and still perform well, I mean with good ctr. That didn’t happened, I didn’t receive any clicks today, I don’t know if is because today is saturday, there is more competition or what, anyway I think POF works in a strange way.
I’ll appreciate some advices from your
Thanks in advance!
After launching the Mature dating UK – Males campaign those are the stats
Campaign 1: 41-45
Campaign 2: 46-50
I´ve noticed volume is lower comparing to my female UK campaign, should I stop this campaign before eating all my budget? I dont know if worth to keep testing with this campaign if didn’t received any clicks today.
No clicks at all? Ouch.
Is POF reporting that or is that the report through your tracking? Definitely check your click numbers on POF just to be sure.
However, if you’ve definitely had no clicks at all on those campaigns, I’d pause them and launch a different angle.
Yes, I checked it but definitely didn´t receive clicks.
What I did is I launched again my females campaign today and already made a conversion, I will post the stats at the end of the day.
Things went better today, at least for 1 campaign.
age range 51-55
ROI: 38.9% – First green ROI I’ve ever seen lol
Obs: The 2 conversions came from Direct Linking
age range 41-45
I will create variations of the image ads that converted today.
Congrats on green!
If you possibly can, I’d recommend increasing your spend: currently it’s too small to really get that much useful data. You’ll be able to make decisions a lot faster on 3x the spend than you will right now.
And keep launching campaigns!
I’ve been a little busy the last few weeks, I was traveling along my country and also planning what do this 2019 to quit my job. I paused my POF campaign during for a few weeks and I started thinking what I could do to improve my campaigns and see profits, after making some changes in my ads and landing pages finally it seem that everything is on track.
I started this campaign last monday
I deleted all the landing pages I was using, and I submitted another one which has the same layout and colors from the offer. I noticed that this increase conversions.
This campaign has potential, only problem is my daily budget is $20 and volume is low, I only get to spend $5 max.
What I will do now is keep testing more images and create another campaign with a different angle.
