I need to put my creatives forward first to my AM apparently for this offer, here are the guidelines:
Per our conversation the creatives you sent are not approved for BBpeopleMeet. The advertiser has strict creative approval so we have to follow these guidelines:
– Must own rights to all of your images
– No cleavage/ racy pics
– No False Claims
– No Uniforms
– Cannot claim specific age- ex) "click here to meet a man under 40"
-Smiling, happy people (not model shots but naturally candid) is best in line with the brand image.*
– Colored border helps the ads stand out
My main problem is finding naturally candid shots of guys that i have the image rights to, when i look through stock photo sites such as dreamstime and istockphoto, they are too professional and not natural.
How do you get around this?
As soon as I remember caurmen promised a quick guide how to convert professional looking images into amateur. Btw, try to reduce brightness, cut faces from a crowd, use people with animals and cars…
Peanut – thanks for the reminder on that. For some reason it’s not on my ideas-for-articles list, will add it now. Might even get it done next week!
@sean83 – test more professional photos too. The advice about amateur images has been rather over-stated – more professional shots can convert just as well or better than amateur images sometimes.
Ya man if you can get that post to me, I’ll gladly put it up on the POF blog cuz it’s something I think would help big time.
Ben – gotcha, will get in contact!
