I’ve found that keeping campaigns running throughout the day seems somewhat pointless. Hardly any clicks/conversions. Has anyone who has had success on POF found the same or is it just because my campaigns aren’t good enough?
I’m considering scheduling the campaigns to only run during certain hours in the evening, but am unsure of whether this is a good idea? Every campaign I’ve had so far has ran 24/7.
Are you still getting traffic at other times, but just no clicks, or is the traffic dropping to a trickle too?
If the traffic’s dropping off, then effectively POF is already day-parting for you However, if you’re seeing significant CTR spikes at certain hours, then it’s definitely worth experimenting with day-parting.
I think it’s more effective to optimize your campaign for 24/7 run than just certain hours of the day. Top guys don’t day part FYI
I’ve never day parted for POF, running a lot of campaigns is pretty vital in getting decent profits on POF and if you’re dayparting thats gonna add a lot of workload for maybe not too much benefit. Depends on where you are in the game, but I think dayparting is best left for the higher volume traffic sources where tiny variables can make or break your campaign, with POF it doesn’t too much
Just to add to this one – I’d generally agree, day-parting on POF is more hassle than it’s worth. However, if you’re still running a small number of campaigns AND you have an efficient way to do it (POFpro does day-parting, I recall?) AND the data clearly indicates it’d be profitable, it’s worth a spin.
Yeah, POFpro is as simple as clicking on the times you don’t want the ads to show and it’s done for you. Thanks for the replies guys, I’ve deducted that it’s good practice to try and build a campaign good enough to run all day, but if this isn’t possible I won’t hesitate to use day-parting as it seems silly to throw money away just because the big guys aren’t day parting!
